Yves Nissim to speak before the Human Rights Council

On 12 September 2014, former ID Chair Yves Nissim (Orange) will speak before the UN Human Rights Council as part of its 27th regular session.

Yves will discuss the role of corporations in respecting privacy on a panel discussion on the right to privacy in the digital age, as well as the Telecommunications Industry Dialogue’s contribution to the Report of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights on The Right to Privacy in the Digital Age.  The panel will take place from 9:00 to 12:00 CET and will be Webcast here.

Lisl Brunner is the Facilitator for the Telecommunications Industry Dialogue. Prior to this role, Lisl spent five years as a staff attorney at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. She is a fluent Spanish speaker and holds a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor’s degree from the College of William & Mary.
